Why I dont get to blog any more

The answer is simple, same reason why I dont get to jog, or have fun on the weekdays…. which is cuz I have a 14 hr work day, and thats on a slow, good day. I usually reach home around 9 at night only to eat dinner, my only real meal of the day, and go to sleep while watching a movie…..

BUT I AM HAPPY!!!!

Why? Because I am an engineer and I am easily pleased!!! Since I have joined Razer I have been working on the coolest things with the coolest people i.e. on gaming stuff with gamers i.e. kindred spirits. And frankly this leaves nothing for me to bitch about and thus to blog on. Cool aint it?

Anyway, I am heading down to the rec area to play Crysis 2, so go away!!!

Ah! We engineers are so easily pleased. We really are kids at heart. I start a new project, which means I get brand new toys to play with. which has made me sooooo excited! AND HAPPY! Its sickening!

Woo hooo! Done with my thesis, Got a job, got my Employment pass, Now all I need is to not have HIV and tuberosclrosis and I am game! LITERALLY! Life after death

Ladies and dicks! I am happy to report that there really is life after death…. Uhhh ok, after marriage anyway…. or maybe not, by the looks of this blog. There! I just shot down all the reasons for me to write a post! I need to stop doing that!

Khair, Finally done with my thesis, which was why I was not able to post anything. Ok, thats not true either…. The real reason is I live in the pre-historic age…. the pre-Internet age anyway. I dont have any internet at home, and posting from the labs is, well just boring. And frankly, the blogsphere has gone cold.

This weekend we went to a place called Palau ubin. Its an Island a couple of of miles out to sea northeast of the main Singapore island. The trip was exhausting but utter fun. I ll post photos the next chance I get.

My grandfather, Abdul-Qaadir Hasan Khan passed away on Saturday 4th of September, 2010. He was 78 years old. Please remember him in your prayers if you can. May Allah give him peace.

Of weddings and hospitals

I Ha….. Detest! DETEST!!!! Weddings and hospitals!

So here is what happened this week.

I got married on the 16th.

I got sick on the 17th, falling to gastroentritis (acute stomach ache, fever, diherea, nausea, etc etc suffice it to say it was nt pretty) .

I had my valima on the 18th….. I went straight from the hospital (where I was admitted) to the lawn, where I was sweating profusely in the traditional karachi heat.

I got sick again on the 19th, and was taken to Agha Khan on the morning of 20th, where I was admitted till the 24th.

How’s that for a shitty week! Try beating that!

Of hypocrisy and assholes

Well this post is simple. People are hypocrites, and they are thus assholes. I would know, I m one of them.

Our lives are like a zero mean Signal. L~N(0,s). Where L is life, N is the functional symbol for a normal distribution, and s (or sigma) is the standard deviation defining this particular ‘bell’ curve. Now normally we have small ups and downs that come our way, thats noise. But every now and then there comes a huge spike, thats when something really good or really bad happens, depending on the direction of the spike.

Our principles, whether we are christians, muslims, atheists, agnostics, what have you, and therefore religion applies only to the spikes, thats when we become all pious and ethical. Such is the case for some people like me. Then there are those who apply their principles to their normal noisy times, but chuck their princples into the trashbin when there comes a spike. Now I cant decide which are better. But in reality both are hypocrites by definition.

The only people who are nt really hypocrites are people who realize this fact or dont give a rats ass i.e. assholes.I wish I was one is those. Heck maybe I am one of them.
