Date: Christmas Eve, 2008. Location: Orchard Rd, Singapore.

It was Christmas Eve and like every other 21 christmas eves I ve had I did n’t even knew that it was here.  A friend and I were bored of walking around the campus and wanted to explore more of Singapore, a city I have fallen in love with in just about a week.

So we went out oblivious of the date and we initially went to the airport for no reason other than it was the furthest station on the MRT. Since the MRTs normally close down around 12 and much of our time spend getting to a very clean, systematic and beautiful but not eye popping airport, we decided to head back early. While catching the MRT back, we saw a notice outside the station that the train service has been extended to 1:30 am and a huge crowd approaching the station which moved with more purpose than us three. We decided to follow the crowd to whereever it goes, since we were in the mood to have a good time.

After careful inspection of the crowd which bore obvious signs of christmas eve, like santa hat and antelers and candy canes and what not, it dawned on us that it was the actual christmas eve and we were heading to a big party. And was that party big!!!!? It was marvelous, lights everywhere, with fake snow and what not. It was really a party we had never seen before! With a pathetic camera I could get only a few pictures, but please go ahead and take a look.

You ass… I never celebrated Christmas! I did n’t even remember that it was Christmas. I was only at the right place at the right time to see the lights. And I was driven by a crowd of people, I did n’t even know where to go. But it was fun. reached home around 4 in the morning at slept through the whole day today.

Dude you should definitely apply here, it so cool, plus I ll have some good company! And its much cheaper than the other places you are going to apply! And I can help you out with the application process. Its much simpler here. How are things in Karachi, at times I really miss the placee.
