My secret coffee

When I have to “work” at night I usually like to have something sweet to drink while I do it. So mostly its Pepsi or Coke, or orange juice or apple juice. But lately its homemade cappuccino. And I dont like to brag, but its great. Actually I have been making it like this for.. oww, ten years or so… but lately I ve hone and fixed my method to beat any coffe house brew!!!

I also like to listen to music while I work. Somehow it helps me concentrate… and like always it heavy metal. These days I have a renewed adoration for Iron Maiden, especially their last album called A Matter of life and death. Its a beautiful album! It still raises the hair on my neck. I still remember the first time I heard Iron Maiden, the song was Fear of the Dark from one of their concerts, and I immediately jump out of my shoes! Its a band that sounds like no other and the best of all, it looks different, with Eddie and their onstage antics. I can get enough of this song…

Its a trademark Iron Maiden song, with dark riveting lyrics and a scratchy and catchy riff, and blazing drums. It almost transports all the emotion into you that its trying to belay to the listener. Even though the song is crazy long but you still cant get enough of it and the more you listen to it the more you want to listen to it, its addictive.

We are not the sons of God
We are not his chosen people now
We have crossed the path he trod
We will feel the pain of his beginning

Shadow fingers rise above
Iron fingers stab the desert sky
Oh behold the power of the Earth.
Are your children ready for the fall?

Locking hands together well
Raze a city, build a living hell
Join the race to suicide
Listen for the tolling of the bell

Out of the the universe, a strange light is born
Unholy union, trinity reformed

Yellow sun it’s evil twin
in the black the winds deliver him
We will sleep to souls within
At a siege a nuclear gust is riven

Out of the the universe, a strange light is born
Unholy union, trinity reformed

Out of the darkness, brighter than a thousand suns
Out of the darkness, brighter than a thousand suns
Out of the darkness, brighter than a thousand suns
Out of the darkness, brighter than a thousand suns

Out of the darkness, brighter than a thousand suns
Out of the darkness, brighter than a thousand suns

solo #1 Adrian

Burying our morals and burying our dead
Burying our head in the sand
E equals MC squared, you can’t relate
How we made God with our hands

Whatever would Robert have said to his God
About he made war with the Sun
E equals MC squared, you can’t relate
How we made God with our hands

All nations are rising
Through acid bells of love and hate
Chain medals of Satan
Uncertainty led us all to this

All nations are raising
Through acid bells of love and hate
Confusion and Fury

solo #2 Janick

This body carried em’ down in vain
I was preaching of a small pray
In the bunker where we’ll die
We’re the executioners that lie

Bombers launched with no recall
Minute warning of the missile fall
Take a look at your last day
Guessing you won’t have the time to cry

Out of the the universe, a strange light was born
Unholy union, trinity reformed

Out of the darkness…
Out of the darkness…
Out of the darkness, brighter than a thousands suns

Out of the darkness, brighter than a thousands suns
Out of the darkness, brighter than a thousands suns
Out of the darkness, brighter than a thousands suns
Out of the darkness, brighter than a thousands suns

Holy father we have sinned

Cappuccino I shall give kudos for. Heavy metal? Not to my liking. Actually ‘no music while doing anything academic related’ is my rule in life. :p

    • Hey never said everybody else should also like what I like!

Well if I dont listen to something, my mind starts to wander away, music allows me to enjoy something that I dont like (i.e. work). And for me, music is the great catalyst for academic stuff, especially homework! I hazte writing reports and assignments. Give me something to build any day of the week, but to write something? Well, forget about it that you ll ever get it in time!
